Why this page does not carry a rating

BetRegal is not on our list of compared bookmakers, and this page does not give it a score. We rate a sportsbook only after we have matched its operating licence in the public register, read its own terms for the offer we describe and compared its prices on a fixed sample of markets. None of those three steps produced a current, verifiable result for this brand, so there is nothing here to rate.

That is a statement about our checks, not an accusation. A brand can be absent from our list because it has left the British market, because it trades under a corporate name we could not match, or simply because it is not one of the operators we follow.

What to check before opening any account

  1. The licence. Search the Gambling Commission’s public register for the trading name shown in the footer of the site. If remote betting is not on the licence, the site is not licensed to take your bet in Great Britain.
  2. The corporate entity. The footer must name the company and its registration details. A site that does not name the company holding the licence is a site to leave.
  3. The terms behind the offer. Qualifying stake, minimum odds, whether the free bet returns the stake, the expiry and the wagering requirement, all from the operator’s own terms page rather than the banner.
  4. The payments page. Methods, minimums and the published timescale for a withdrawal, not the promise on the homepage.
  5. Dispute route. The licence conditions require an alternative dispute resolution body to be named. If you cannot find one, you have no route after a deadlock.
